Introduction

From a young age I was inspired to love film. I'd been on sets and seen films being created and edited however none of it appealed to me -  I always preferred to sit through and watch a film. I spent time watching cult films constantly and loved to think about what made the films so incredible to watch. I never enjoyed reading books as I felt like i was just taking in words unlike a movie which make me feel like a passenger on an adventure. I decided to take film studies for an A level in order to learn about how to analyse different films and to hopefully be a success professionally reviewing films. At first I was worried that the subject would not be taken seriously and that I wouldn't be stretching my academic abilities, however, after one lesson I decided it was the most gripping subject I had chosen and my class felt the same way. I am excited to be shown all different types of films and learn about what effects films can create.
